How this list is made

Every day a script asks free, official scholarly APIs for new AI papers from the last 48 hours (arXiv: five days, because of its announcement delay and weekend gap; OpenAlex: seven days, because of its indexing delay; papers listed on an earlier day are not repeated). It keeps metadata only: title, the first three authors, venue, date, DOI, arXiv ID or PMID, link and an open-access flag. Each paper is placed in one of the 50 categories by a published keyword rule map; papers that match no category clearly are left out.

Order within a category: peer-reviewed papers in high-impact journals and top conferences first, then preprints with a major laboratory or university signal (or accepted at a top conference), then the rest. This is a simple signal of where a paper appeared, not a judgement of its quality.

Evidence labels: Peer-reviewed = published in a peer-reviewed journal or proceedings; Preprint = arXiv, medRxiv, bioRxiv, Research Square, SSRN or another server, not yet peer-reviewed. Open access = free to read according to the source (arXiv, bioRxiv, medRxiv, PubMed Central, a Creative Commons licence or OpenAlex). Thank you to arXiv for use of its open access interoperability. PubMed data courtesy of the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NCBI E-utilities). bioRxiv and medRxiv metadata via api.biorxiv.org (Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory). Crossref metadata (CC0) via the Crossref REST API. OpenAlex metadata (CC0) via the OpenAlex API.
